A character can be carefully written and still be ineligible for a platform’s discovery feed. The reason may be a publication category rather than poor dialogue.
Dokichat gives a concrete answer about originality. SweetChat’s creator explainer gives useful information about building a character, but does not establish the same discovery rule. Comparing them means separating what you create, what you publish and what the platform promises to distribute.
The borrowed portrait problem
Imagine an original fictional adult perfumer, Selene, 39. You wrote her history, speech and shop setting yourself. Her portrait, however, came from another artist who permitted you to use it.
Dokichat’s creation rules distinguish Original, Partially Original and Fanwork. In those rules, independently written character setup paired with a permitted image made by someone else falls under Partially Original. A character derived from an existing named work is a different category.
Permission to use the portrait and eligibility for discovery are therefore separate questions. Having permission does not convert someone else’s image into your own original artwork.
The rules currently reserve search/recommendation eligibility and creator incentives for Original characters. That is the service’s classification policy, not a universal statement about copyright law.
Public is one decision; eligible is another
Dokichat’s creation form includes both privacy and originality settings. Selecting Public answers who may use a released character. Classifying it accurately answers a different question about the work.
A useful release note for Selene might contain:
| Element | What the creator should know |
|---|---|
| Character concept | Independently written adult perfumer |
| Background and dialogue | Original text with no borrowed fictional setting |
| Portrait | Who created it and what permission allows |
| Publication category | The category matching the entire creation |
| Reader invitation | What a new reader can actually do in the opening |
Do not choose Original merely to reach a larger audience. Equally, eligibility does not guarantee a position in a recommendation feed or a specific number of readers.
SweetChat gives the portrait a revision workflow
SweetChat’s creator explainer offers generating a photo from appearance settings or uploading your own. It also allows setting, outfit and mood wishes, and later photo changes or new images through My Characters. The licensed portrait can therefore be a starting asset if its permission covers this use; alternatively, the creator can explore a new image without replacing Selene’s whole personality.
Its pricing table supplies an actual revision budget: Basic lists 10 photo regenerations per day and three character slots, Standard 25 and five, Pro 50 and ten. At the reviewed monthly prices, Basic is $9.99 and Standard $19.99. A planned twelve regenerations in one day exceeds Basic’s published photo allowance even when three character slots would be enough. Spreading a nonurgent revision over two days is a different choice from paying for the larger daily allowance.
These are published plan figures, not measured deductions. They concern photo regenerations, not guaranteed successful images or unlimited retries. Other conflicting feature copy on the page does not turn an image allowance into a creator-distribution entitlement.
SweetChat’s described photo workflow does not establish an equivalent to Dokichat’s Original category or guarantee feed placement. Likewise, generating a replacement image does not by itself prove that Dokichat will classify the whole work as Original. The creator still needs to satisfy that platform’s actual written rule rather than select a category for visibility.
Improve the invitation without gaming classification
Write a short public premise independently from the long biography. Give the reader a role they can accept, one current event and a reason to respond. Use artwork you created or have the appropriate permission to use, and keep a record of its source.
Choose Dokichat when its documented release categories fit the work you intend to publish. Consider SweetChat for its described customization path when your immediate task is developing the character. In either case, a strong premise improves clarity; it does not override publication rules or purchase an audience.
